What's in it?
Our materials are certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, one of the most established independent safety certifications in the textile industry.
Accredited laboratories test fabrics against a list of more than 1,000 potentially harmful substances, including residual processing chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides and certain dyes. The limits become stricter depending on how closely and frequently a product comes into contact with the skin. Because underwear is worn directly against the body, it is subject to the strictest testing requirements.
PFAS, the ones people call forever chemicals, get into textiles through water-repellent and stain-resistant finishes. We don't use those finishes, and OEKO-TEX bans their intentional use across everything it certifies.
Who's checking?
We use an independent inspection company, once the order is complete and before it leaves the factory.
Their inspectors select samples at random and check them against our approved specifications, including measurements, colour, stitching, elastic, labelling and packaging. The inspection follows a recognised international sampling standard.
If a production run doesn’t pass, it doesn’t ship.
It’s one of the ways we make sure a size 12 you buy this year fits like the size 12 you bought last year.
Caring for your Ola
Cold wash. Always. Your fabrics will thank you.
Cold gentle wash
Wash on a cold, gentle cycle to help preserve softness and stretch. Avoid washing with denim, Velcro or anything rough.
Wash with similar colours
Lights with lights. Darks with darks. You get it.
Skip the fabric softener
It messes with everything from the stretch to the adhesive, so give it a miss. Ola is soft enough as is.
Line dry in shade
Avoid tumble dryers and irons. Everything cool is better for the fabric. Better for the fit.
Wash after wash, still going. That’s the goal.
